This wildlife reserve gets its name from the river located within the area, the Bhadra River. The sanctuary spans an area of around 492 square kilometers and has a range of diverse flora and fauna.

1. Safari (by Jeep)To witness nature at its best and get up close to the animals, reptiles, birds and other species whilst in their natural habitat, a jeep safari is perfect for you.

Morning Safari: 6 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Evening Safari: 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

2. Bhadra Dam Viewpoint
Bhadra Dam, also known as Lakkavalli Dam, is built on the Bhadra River (which is actually a tributary of Tungabhadra River). Visiting this dam can expose you to the natural beauty of its surroundings.

3. Bhadra River Boating
You can enjoy a boat ride along the Bhadra River. There is a possibility of finding different species of birds during the ride.

4. Trek to Mullayanagiri Peak
